Activities
The University of Ferrara handles the quality and quantity of surface and ground water resources, the problems of degradation to the human impact and the competitive use of resources, the process of desertification and water-soil interaction and problems geochemical related to mode of aquifer recharge. The University of Ferrara develops methodologies for integrated geophysical and geochemical exploration of the lithological characteristics and physical properties of underground and definition of the geometry of bodies of groundwater. The Department of Earth Sciences has the most modern techniques and analytical methods for the analysis of trace elements in water and soil.
