Networking

To achieve the main objective of the project is to develop guidelines for the establishment of a common system of integrated management of transboundary waters in urban areas of Gorizia and Nova Gorica, you need an extensive participation of all relevant partners on both countries supported by scientific institutions and consulting can indicate the possible solutions to the critical issues existing in the area in question. The partnership composed as will enable companies to achieve the structural services that will be necessary, to municipalities to publicize the results of the project and to work towards an appropriate common policy for the sustainable and effective citizen participation. This strong synergy between partners will allow a continuation of the joint even after the end of the project, as may be defined roles to maintain over time based on the results obtained.

Common database and GIS

Construction of two common data base and GIS. One for data for the evaluation of the hydrological balance of the basins and the Corno Vertojbica and the other for the evaluation of the quality of surface waters.

Studies

Guidelines for the development of strategies, methodologies and joint plans for the prevention and reduction of risks of flooding, for the protection of surface and groundwater, to the re-naturalization of the creek and Vertojbica Corno, to encourage the use of energy sources (the use of groundwater) and, upon completion of the structural works for the re-use of treated wastewater and sewage sludge .

Dating

Two general meetings each year for all the partners, coordinated by the Lead Partner and the University of Udine, for the purposes of participation of the knowledge and thematic meetings between experts for each activity detailed in workpackages WP3, WP4, WP5, WP6 and WP7.

Communication

Implementation of an interactive web portal. Organization of conferences and round table discussions between experts and policy makers with the participation of citizens.

Views

Realization of guided tours with the participation of experts and interested students for the assessment of the existing critical, a statement of guidelines for possible solutions and verification of the results obtained.
